LinkedIn is an excellent platform to build relationships on. In fact, you can accomplish this 100% organically.

Between early to late Q3 of 2019 I was able to generate over $15,000 in revenue via LinkedInOrganically!

…and I’m about to tell you how I did it!

Now, a lot of marketers will tell you all sorts of bullsh*t about the fact that you need paid ads because the organic reach is too low.

I’m here to tell you that it’s a bunch of f*cking crap.

LinkedIn boasts unprecedented organic potential to help you cultivate a strong community of brand advocates around you.

Although, LinkedIn and many other digital platforms and channels obviously require a thorough understanding in order to fully utilize its potential.

Not only that but Context will always be more important than just Content

Content & Context

In order to forge a stronger community of brand advocates around yourself or your company, you must come up with the content and context that you’ll be sharing on your LinkedIn posts. It can be as simple as writing down a few topical categories down on a piece of paper so that you can have something tangigle.

Personally, I talk about these things:

  • Life.
  • Family.
  • Entrepreneurship.
  • Marketing
  • Successes and Failures.
  • My podcast.
  • Storytelling.

The power of video

Over 80% of internet traffic is now driven by video. LinkedIn is just a platform that contributes to the mix now. Even though they were the last ones to join the party.

During the period of 2-3 months of prospecting prior to landing the big fish, I utilized primarily video on LinkedIn. Almost every single day.

These were 2-7 minute long videos based on my designated topics. You can peruse the how to create social media videos on your iPhone that sell article for more in-depth insight on how to accomplish those.

Video is the best way to create a face-to-face interaction with people. Besides of course an actual, physical face-to-face interaction. The reason video is so powerful is because it can establish an emotional connection with prospects. Potential clients that would be willing to pay you money for something. All because you created an emotional connection with them.

Posting frequency

One of the main things you have to understand about LinkedIn is that it’s imperative for you to post consistently.

Like f*cking clockwork!

Why is this so important though?

Consistency = TRUST. If you’re consistent posting content, preferably all video during highly trafficked times on LinkedIn, it will increase your chances of creating trust with potential clients.

Consistency creates dependability. If people feel like they can depend on you because you are consistent and ultimately able to trust you then they’d be willing to pay you money for premium value.

“How often should I post on LinkedIn, Ivan?

Great question!

Here’s what worked for me:

  • Post at 9:00 A.M. CST.
  • Post at 12:00 P.M. CST.
  • Post at 9:00 P.M. CST.

Like. F*cking. Clockwork!

Forget about weekends. Just because it’s a Saturday or Sunday doesn’t mean that people aren’t frequenting the LinkedIn platform. They’re there, consuming your content but maybe not as proactively as they would during traditional business working days on a weekday.

Be the best listener possible!

Pay attention!

When people respond to your post (personally I didn’t have very many but all it takes is 1), respond as quickly as possible. Focus on providing value with your response or at very least figuring out a way to continue the conversation.

Listening, paying attention to the views and most importantly the comments on your post is a key component to success.

Why?

When you respond to people’s comments on your posts it makes them feel acknowledged. People appreciate acknowledgement because it’s an indicator that you care and willing to listen to what they’re saying.

The real success!

What I mentioned above in this article, exactly what I indicated are the tactics I employed myself.

As result, during a period of 2-3 months a key player in an organization consumed my LinkedIn posts, developed trust, and enticed them to reach out for a business meeting.

How I made money using the above information is that I was hired by a company and paid over $15,000 in cash to strategize, implement, and execute on a holistic digital marketing approach.

Remember…CONTEXT vs CONTENT always matters the most!
