Should you quit or keep going? I know, you’ve probably been there. Multiple times.

In fact, you may have woken up this morning and said to yourself, “F*ck it! I’m done. I’m throwing in the towel.”

Trust me when I tell you that there’s many days I feel that way. Shit, for the past nearly 4 years while focusing on building my company Razor Sharp Digital, I’ve had so many days where I’ve wanted to quit…but didn’t.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed so I ended up being pissed at the world.

I didn’t get enough sleep (that’s most nights by the way) so I was cranky.

I lost a client and started to panic about cashflow issues.

I didn’t think that I was good enough to keep going.

Former bosses and colleagues would urge me to just go back to the workforce and throw in the towel.

Honestly, there has literally been what it seems like a million different reasons that I should’ve quit by now.

…BUT.I. DIDN’T!

Let me tell you something! Building a business and being an entrepreneur are literally two of the hardest things that you will ever do. I’m on my third business venture. You can read more about my past without boring you here.

People will laugh at you.

People will hope that you’ll fail even though they don’t have the balls to admit it.

People will say that you’re not good enough.

People will say that you’re not start enough.

People will say that you don’t have enough money.

The difference between winners and losers!

There’s really two different types of people in this world.

WINNERS and LOSERS!

There’s no in-between!

Real WINNERS will do whatever it takes. Whatever! Anything! They won’t stop at any hurdle along the way. Regardless of the circumstances, they are resilient enough to keep pushing through the struggles because they know that adversity, risks, sacrifices, and more are simply part of the game.

Losers on the other hand are people who simply aren’t willing to do what it takes to make their goals and dreams are reality. They aren’t willing to risk and sacrifice. They give up easily. They allow distractions or hurdles of all sorts to get in their way.

The decision is yours.

There is no amount of inspiration or motivation in this world that will entice you take action against the things that matter to you. None! Zero!

At the end of the day, you are the person who is in complete control of your journey.

There will be many people who will either encourage or discourage you. I’m talking about friends, colleagues, and even people closest to you such as your family. I’ve been there and there are many times even these days that I’m faced with such challenges.

YOU make your own decisions and nobody else does!

What I've learned about not quitting!

I’m not going to lie to you. Entrepreneurship is probably the single hardest thing I’ve ever done besides being a husband and a father.

Don’t take it from me though. Hear it from my friend Miguel who has been married for 35 years, 6 businesses (working on 7th one), 15 kids, and somehow he was still able to remain sane.

No, it’s not easy! If being an entrepreneur, chasing a wild goose chase, and hoping to make your dreams a reality was so easy everyone would be doing it. There’s a lot of people out there who will try and fail.

There’s a lot of people who will attempt and quit.

…and then there’s those who will talk about being an entrepreneur, chasing their dreams, but never actually doing anything about them.

I’ve been all of the above but I made it a priority to myself and realized that risk, sacrifice, resilience, commitment, consistency, and hard work are the price you pay for freedom.

Yes, FREEDOM!

So, any time I want to quit and that sometimes feels like every single f*cking day, I remind myself of my purpose (my family). They’re all worth the hassle, hustling, and bustling that I’ve willingly chosen to go through.

Do you feel like quitting? What keeps you going?

What's your thoughts?
